Fact #19: This has been bugging me since 1989

Okay, maybe not that long. But it does bug me.

Ariel (heaving her seashell boobs over a rock while a wave crashes behind her, even though this is a kids' movie):
I don't know when
I don't know how
But I know something's starting right now
So. . . you do know when. You just said it.

Til tomorrow!

I love that movie...but there are actually quite a few things that bug me about it. First of all--the ending. Um, LIttle Mermaid is not a happy ending story. I didn't even want to see it when it came out because I knew in the end, the prince marries someone else and she becomes a "sister of the air." Sidenote: Netflix recommended Little Mermaid to my friend Hannah, based on her liking "Sex and the City: the Movie." Huh?

OMG honey, can we leave Ariel out of this please? The song is a metaphor - and it sure did not seem to bother you the one million times you watched the VHS tape with me (PS after I won the tape in a coloring contest!) Don't go back questioning happy memories of childhood!

Well, I guess I should have admitted that the reason it's been bugging me since 1989 is that I periodically get that song stuck in my head for days at a time. Must have been the millionth viewing that did it!
