I covered a shift at the coffee shop this afternoon, and the playlist was all Spoon all the time. And I don't care if everyone hated it, because I love it!
Spoon is one of those bands I could pretty much always listen to. And I often do. I never get sick of them.
I remember listening to Spoon on the drive from Minneapolis to Chicago (the first leg of my move to Pittsburgh). I was about 10 minutes from the city. At the end of a 7 hour drive. And I'm a bad road-tripper, especially by myself. I get so antsy.
But Spoon got me through! I have all their albums on my iPod, so I hit shuffle and listened to them all the way into town.
As I was driving down Lawrence, "Jonathan Fisk" came on.
That song is that moment for me. It always will be. And I love it.
