Fact #288: I'm obsessed with quinoa

Seriously, you guys. I am.

If quinoa was my neighbor, I would always coincidentally leave my apartment the same time it was going out, so we'd just happen to bump into each other, and I'd inexplicably know intimate personal details about it, like its favorite book or its middle name.

If quinoa was a celebrity, I would be completely, absolutely positive that if I was just able to slip past its entourage of security guards, our eyes would meet, our souls would collide, and we'd be together for the rest of forever. Because we are M.F.E.O.

All that might make me sound super creepy, but I can't help it. That's what quinoa does to me! It makes me crazy.

Why do I love it so much?? Well, let's see. According to Livestrong.com:
Quinoa is a complete protein, which means that it contains all the amino acids necessary for our nutritional needs. Complete proteins are rare in the plant world, making quinoa an excellent food for vegetarians and vegans, or for anyone looking for healthy protein source. It's also high in iron and calcium, and is a good source of manganese, magnesium and copper, as well as fiber.
Ooo! Quinoa, you're so cool.

Quinoa is an awesome substitute for rice in pretty much any dish. I also like to put it in salads. Or make muffins with it. Or use it in a parfait. The list goes on and on!

For real, everybody. Quinoa rocks. You heard it here first. (Or here, 5,000 years ago.)

 Looks like meh.
Tastes like MAGIC.

Til tomorrow!

This is one my very favorites of your posts, and not at all because I share your obsession with quinoa. (I mean, it's cool and all, and I like it a little more after reading this.) Such totally awesome writing.

Aw thanks, KSo! I figured I'd branch out a little bit from writing about my obsession with Bruno. :)
